Supply Chain Management
With 95 years of institutional experience, a trained workforce and a 200,000 square-foot facility, Ferriot runs multiple assembly lines to meet the customer’s needs. Just as our quality control extends to every product, our “on-time-delivery controls” apply to everything we make.
In other words: The commitment of quality production, combined with on-time delivery, depends on diligent supply-chain management.
In products ranging from medical devices to business machines, Ferriot draws on decades of experience in juggling networks of domestic and global of suppliers. Our finished products have included up to 450 different parts and pieces — per assembly.
For each subassembly or finished product, we follow the same proven steps for effective supply-chain management.
The key is meticulous attention to detail — in ordering, scheduling and tracking arrival times not to mention the task of inspecting parts and pieces both produced in-house and received from suppliers around the corner and around the world.
A quick word about quality control: When working with first-time suppliers, we inspect every piece of inventory in the first three lots that arrive at our plant. Only if there are no defects do we move to an inspection of random samples.
Ferriot also monitors Purchase Price Variances based on fluctuations in resin costs. We make every attempt to drive efficiency by purchasing in cost-efficient lot sizes.
Even if you don’t know us, you’ve probably touched our products — in banks, at gas pumps and in offices, industrial facilities and hospitals.
Our expertise includes engineering, product design, injection molding, custom molding, sub- and finished assembly and the on-time delivery of components and finished products for major industry. We streamline the total manufacturing process from start to finish, from supply-line development and management, process qualification, product testing and final assembly, all the way to drop shipping.
With mobile, adaptable manufacturing modules, Ferriot tailors on-time production to vastly different needs, including short runs on assemblies with multiple parts.
With 95 years of institutional experience, a trained workforce averaging nearly 20 years of experience per employee and a 200,000-square-foot facility, Ferriot runs multiple assembly lines around the clock. Our quality-control extends to every product we turn out. Our workers know the rules: With every new set of part prints and specifications, they must train and demonstrate proficiency in the task at hand in order to participate in an assembly.
In products ranging from medical devices to business machines, Ferriot delivers consistent quality, on time, at competitive prices and with the convenience and efficiency of one-stop shopping.
